An energetic peaceful hike through the forest at a moderate level of intensity always eluding at what the end of the trail will bring without ever giving you glimpse at its true beauty until you crest the last knoll and narrow the gap between you and its vast coastal mountain views, amongst the bouldering opportunities tugging at inner youthfulness heart strings begging you to scale around like a 10 year old!

The meditative sounds of a raging river carving a path through natures gorges!
You may need to dial back the volume on this one a bit as we get upfront and center beneath a bridge in the heart of a rather mild winter in the western Sierra of California.

California has just declared "No Drout" they are officially out of a long drout spell, which could be evident by reservoirs reaching capacity and the sounds of the Stanislaus River slamming the abutments of this here bridge but the truth is snow pack levels are at an all time low and runoff is happening now, sure most folks are taking this opportunity to forge an adventure hiking through beautiful spring like weather, including myself.

The fear I have at this moment will come in September if winter follows these dismal patterns and we are left with little snow melt come May, June, and July.

Although with the abundance rain we could see a desert Superbloom Spring!
